"Paprika" by Satoshi Kon

After being presented at the 63rd Venice International Film Festival in Venice, will be released June 15 in Italian cinemas on new animated film that, after the brilliant performance of "Perfect Blue" and "Tokyo Godfathers" is now considered one of the best authors of the souls of the rising sun. From what I have read, "Paprika" is intended as a visual journey where reality is pervaded with the dream, the context in which animated films are always found fertile ground in order to express the best of their abilities techniques. Everything runs on the tracks of a detective story in which Dr. psicxoterapeuta Chiba (Paprika is the alter ego dream) goes in search of a stolen machine that allows you to enter the dreams of the people and the use of which would be devastating to humans negative (doomsday scenarios have become a topos for Japanese animation). "Paprika" looks very promising as a production in which the dreamlike imagery of traditional Japanese alongside the Freudian psychoanalytic theories of the West. Want more? by Phil

Honey Stinger Marathon

alva noto @ 07

Arriva shy and furtive, Carsten Nicolai is followed only by his bag, strictly black.
Act "musical instrument" Powerbook G4 12-inch, analog mixer and audio un'impianto scary just to look at ...

It begins: fusca and sizzle quietly almost subdued start in 40 minutes knowing that much can be done, the electricity is in the air and slowly rises and pierces you, penetrates you, the bass taking the body and rhythmic light takes shape in a project that runs to the old conception of glitcherie Protypes to create a jumble of sound, an ocean of vibrations that only an architect of sound as alva.noto can recreate. The stamp is raster: via the medium, low acute and penetrating chill. Images frattliche moving take on the projector form in prefect harmony sound like us abiutati good carsten. The intoxication is total, the harmonies are evolving, it is changed but the line remains true, duration: crushes you in the chair until the end when closing the machine, places it in the bag and disappears into the crowd: dream or reality?

superb concert by the great impact with an artist who can stay on the electronic music scene for over 10 years experience and knowing how to put into question: the pure glitcher may not have liked it!

dissonance "Atlas" - Battles Live

I had the pleasure to see them at 07 and dissonances were a revelation. The impact is significant that they live, their songs, intricate and noisy from a compositional point of view, are linear and engaging thanks to a remarkable technical mastery of the instruments. This song is perhaps the most compelling, the concert was a great success, but the Battles are definitely the most interesting pieces in the repertoire. The thing that struck me most is their ability to keep high the intensity of their music, without exceeding in choruses too obvious or heavy distortion to drag the public more. There are no emotional peaks in their performance, but remains constantly limbo as emotional intensity remains at lofty levels. Attention should be sure to drummer John Stanier, a true stage animal.
